Let's hear some details...

Not too dramatic. Walked in blind to an area we haven’t been in yet this season. Big oak ridge with deep cuts. Tons of white oaks with a think holly understory. Sets up well on a certain wind for catching bucks cruising through looking for bedded and feeding does. Bumped a doe out from under a group of white oaks and found a tree where I could shoot that area.

A little before 8 the wind kicked up and I could smell him directly up wind. A few minutes later another gust and the smell was stronger. I stood up and grabbed my bow then heard him coming. He popped out at 10 yards just picking at acorns. He was dang near right under me when he turned broadside. When I went to line the shot up I felt my bottom limb hit my seat arm. I had to step out to the edge of the stand to get clear and drove it down through his shoulder blade and out his arm pit.

So I aimed for the arm pit. Just on the other side.
