Anywho, Cubbies were playing with house money this postseason. They won the lottery last year. I'm not mad that they played the lottery again and didn't win this time. It was pleasantly surprising that they made it as far as they did. Obviously the Dodgers were the better team. The magic just wasn't there this year for some reason. Some things just weren't right all season long. They were winning games and leading the division most the time, but something still just wasn't quite right. Hopefully they'll right the ship next year but we'll see.
Agreed that Cubbies are about to drop some series coin on pitchers that are about to become free agents. If they keep Arietta, I like the rotation of Lester, Quintana, Hendricks and Arietta (not necessarily in that order. I wouldn't be heartbroken if Lackey broke camp cause he's now a free agent. Really like to see them pick up a rolling inexpensive arm to fill that 5th slot in the rotation.
Glad the yanks lost! Pulling for the Astros.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
