I killed a limit Saturday in pretty short order. I drive by a dove field on my way deer hunting and its usually loaded but yesterday there wasn't a bird on the wire. They could have very well shot it Saturday though.

Noticed some young, as in just out of the nest birds, in my limit Saturday. I have seen this before, and could be what you are seeing.

We picked up a bunch of new birds two weeks ago on a few of our fields, big birds not juveniles, granted these were the fields that the sunflowers survived the wind from Irma.

With this "cold front" coming through today, I did see the largest group of birds I have seen in a month.

I rode by our field this morning and there is a new push of birds. Hope they hold until next weekend.

On the way home from the woodie hole this morn I seen musta seen 35 doves in a row on a power line overlooking a field freshly planted with winter grass. I mean lined up tight. Like 8 in one shot kinda tight, if you positioned yourself right.

They won't. Bastards have been antagonizing me the past few days but fully expect them to haul ass in the next 48hrs.
