    Default One Man's Trash...

I've been meaning to post this for a while, and am just getting around to it. Since high school many moons ago, I've wanted a pull behind hog cooker/grill/pit. Without selling a boat, 4 wheeler, guns, or golf cart, I didn't have the funds just lying around to go buy one. Over the last few months, I started collecting hand-me-downs, junkers, and rusty metal. I then bought a buzz box and grinders. I still have several kinks to work out on it, but it cooks well. I hope this may be inspiration to some other penny-pinching DIY weekend warriors on here. I've got a low heat pit, high heat grill, hi/lo pressure tobacco barn style burner eyes, storage, and cutting station. All in all, I'm happy with how it turned out. It's not perfect (especially the ugly welds), but neither am I.

Good looking project. Might as well get a lifetime supply of Lipitor now because you're going to get invited to a lot of cookouts.

Show us some pictures of cooked meat when you sea trial it.

This is awesome. What are the two units on the front and what is their purpose?

    Super fine.

We have a similar cobbled together unit at the river. It makes wonderful food.

Looks cool. Did you build the pit or just weld it on the trailer?

That's pretty sweet. I have a 120 gallon propane tank that I'm wanting to turn into an offset stick burner. Not going to put this one on a trailer but would like to have an oversized patio version on casters that I could roll onto a trailer if needed. A friend of mine's father and I are going to work on it later in the year.

It was already framed out by one of dad's buddies. It was sitting behind his shed for about a decade. I got the "haul that shit off" nod.

Buckin Bronco, one is a high heat grill. It's got a pipe burner in it that'll get up to 700-800 degrees. It make a ribeye sizzle. The other box has one high and one low pressure tobacco barns burners on it for pilau, frogmore stews, bbq gravy, etc. It's more of a stove. I put the high heat grill on there in case I needed to grill while cooking a hog. And because I like to party.

Got it. I don’t think there’s much else I could think to add on to it.
