    Orion Cooker for $149 and a Weber. Both can be transported easily too. I do love the BGE but next time will buy the XL.

    You sound like somebody that doesn't know how to keep his gas grill at the correct level of griminess. Needs to be a little bit dirty so the droppings catch on fire and the meat is cooked over an open flame.

    What?!? Scrape the ash out with a tool once or twice a month. Dump coal in, light it, close lid and open daisy wheel. It's no different than cleaning or lighting a kettle.

    The answer to the original question is TEC, hands down the most badass gas grill. Going to be pushing that $1k mark though.

    I'll tell you the quandary in which I find myself.........I own a Weber Kettle and a 65qt YETI.

    What's my next move? BGE or Igloo?
