    Default farmer lease rates

lets say I have 35 acres of tillable dirt in one field. looking to get someone to plant it. what is the going rate for said lease?

This isnt huntable land. Just fallow dirt that a farmer could plant.

    Let me know.
    thanks

Depends on location and accessibility, but it could range from $30 to $75 per acre. Also the length of said lease can have an impact.

X2. Depends on soil, shape of fields, demand, etc. I see thousands of leases. Seen $100 on good Horry tobacco land and free on piss poor sand. Ask for $40, $10 more for hunting rights.

NASS numbers are complete bull. A total waste of time and government funds.

They show $100 for rented irrigated land statewide. That wouldn't have touch the market. $22 rent in Saluda County is joke.

I'll give you $5/acre if you'll furnish the seed and equipment to plant

$40.00 per acre is the going price . My mother gets $75.00 per acre in NC.

Good land that the owner will give me a 5+ year lease, I'll pay much more for. Hard to invest much into land on a year to year basis.
