    Default Federal Grand Jury service

I'm set to appear on Nov. 14th and just curious what all this entails. I think it will be interesting and hope I get selected. Anyone served before?

Yep, I have. Once selected it will be 1 year service. You meet in secret once a month to hear cases. I found it very interesting. I served at the Florence location.

Selection is done by random drawing. There weren't many they did not get selected. They also pick some alternates.

I got hit with the Florence location as well. The night before I get an email saying my services are no longer needed. Dodged that bullet.

Borrow Gert's Rebel flag denim cutoff jacket, wear it, don't worry about being chosen.

You can wear whatever you want. Grand Jury is selected randomly by computer driven software.

Grand Jury just determines whether there is probable cause to warrant going to trial.

You will hear 15 - 20 cases each session. You only hear from the prosecution.

I often ask clients "do you want to risk having to go to court and have 12 people who aren't as smart as you decide your future?"

This post really solidifies that question

Well then ShitPile you aren't too well versed. A grand jury does not decide a persons fate dumbass, all they do is decide to indict or not. If it goes to trial, then and only then, do 12 people render a verdict, therefore deciding a persons future. I hope to God you are not an attorney.

A subpoena doesn't mean you will be ON the jury. It means you will be IN FRONT of the jury.

Toss your hard drives and phone into the river and good luck on the porn trial.
