Default Best way to put out powdered lime?

I need to put about 2 tons per acre on a couple plots. I have probably five acres I want to do immediately but maybe another 10-15 next year. Pelletized lime would be expensive. My seed guy says the plots are too small for him to fool with. What's the best way to put out powdered lime?

In that case a conveyor setup is req'd.

That ag lime bridges so badly in a hopper, it's nearly impossible to do it that way.

The more moisture you have in it, the worse the bridging gets.

If you buy fert from CPS, they have a pull behind spreader with live deck they loan that can handle it as well. Buy fert in bulk with spreader, have lime on site, spread fert, then load spreader with FEL or another piece and spread it, return spreader.

Can you rent a lime buggy from your lime supplier, or find a supplier with a buggy to rent? I've rented a buggy from Carolina Eastern before. They will put 2 tons in the buggy and let you tow it with your truck, or you can have a load dumped at the farm and fill the buggy with a FEL.

Where are you trying to spread it? I know of a place in the lowcountry you can rent a pull behind spreader, but you need dual hydraulics on tractor.

Other then that, you can pay to have it spread with a truck, but you can only have 5-6 tons done at one time.

OR.. if money is no option
