Anyone get their tags but not their license? Ordered 2 weeks ago and got my tags last Thursday but no license

I talked to the DNR licensing office on Friday morning and the woman said they are seriously back logged with the new system. She could not give me any idea on how much mail was still sitting unopened/unprocessed, and said if I needed anything quickly I should go to one of the regional DNR offices who could process my application on the spot.

She was very polite, but also noted that every time the phone rang to ask about an app it would stop their work and back them up more.

It sounds like they need some temporary assistance to get over this hump.

True. And you can use the printed receipt as evidence that you've applied and paid for your new license.

Got tags in about four days. Got license in about a week and a half. Still can't understand how I can get stuff like this including boat registration stickers in less than two weeks, but it takes three months to get my cwp renewed. I call bs.
