We have sat three evenings and have seen deer every sit. Opening day they were too far and two weeks ago the little buck spotted her getting into position. Fast forward till tonight and I could just feel that it was going to happen.
We got settled in around 5:30 and she slept until 6:50:
A few peanut butter crackers later and she was ready for prime time.
At 7:05 a fawn popped out and moved to the corn with its twin coming out about 10 minutes later. The doe and her two fawns have been coming in consistently with a 6 point every evening so I told her we just needed to keep waiting. Finally Abu (yes, the Disney character) popped out and I just kept whispering "slow steady squeeze". Her M4 barked, he dropped, she smiled, I smiled and then we called momma.
150lbs on the nose.
