    Default Alan Jackson Protest

At the CMA's in 1999, George Jones was nominated for single of the year with his song "Choices". They wanted him to sing a shortened version so he declined. While Alan Jackson was singing "Pop a Top" he broke into Choices and walked off stage and did not return. Pretty badass, and now to think AJ is one of the "old legends"

I was just a kid then but have always loved The Possum. Glad I came across that.

AJ was one of the better concerts I've had the privilege to attend. No BS dancing around acting like an idiot, just sits on a stool and plays real country.

Alan is a good dude. We've seen & talked to him at the lake multiple times. He likes to talk about boats & isn't an uppity acting fella.

He's done several things like that overhaul the years.
They wanted him to play at one awards show from a pre-recorded track, lip-sync basically and fake play the instruments. So he said ok and he told his drummer not to use any drumsticks when "playing". It took a few seconds and people started realizing what was going on but every camera angle they had also showed the drummer and the couldn't hide what was happening.

I also remember reading he walked out of the country awards show a while back after Beyoncé performed.

AJ is a cool dude. He drove a forklift for Walmarks while he was earning his way into the music scene. Humble man by celebrity standards.

He is the pride of Newnan, GA.

I've always like Travis Tritt. He can wear out the fret board on a guitar
