Got in the wife's car today and pushed the button to crank, took a while to crank and the smell of gas was very strong after cranking. We arrived at destination and the gas smell is very strong. Any ideas?2015 tahoe

Under warranty still?
Can you see gas leaking under the truck?
2015 Tahoe is direct injected. If it took a while to crank sounds like you got a high press metal fuel line to injector leaking.
I'll make you a cash offer on it.
How much
Damn, 62,000 miles on a 2015 is a lot. I've got 24,000 miles on my 2015 and I'm taking it to the dealership to get some shit straightened out next weekend.
Powertrain won't cover it if it's the fuel feed line to injectors or injector o-rings. If it is a fuel evap issue the 8 year 80K emissions warranty should cover it.
I would get someone to eyeball it and see if you have a fuel leak on top of the engine. If not pull codes and see if you have a P0455 or similar fuel evap large leak etc code.
More fuel = more boost!!
I love how well KRT can use Google to find the answers he post here. I wish others would learn how to use Google so well!!

I've seen #8 injector with cut o-rings on 2 Silverado's with direct injection. I've had my ass kicked by a P0455 code on a older Tahoe. That Tahoe came in with hard start/long start after getting fuel. Smoked evap system never found a leak. Replaced purged valve, no help. Long story short it ended up being a clogged vent on the fuel tank.
Google nor youtube offered any help.
