Haints aren't bad unless you cross them, don't do it around Old Gunn church or Plantersville. Now Taney Boggus 's are another thing. Salty knows about those don't cross the 1/2 tires or the conch shells if they are painted . Bright colors is the key, just walk like an Indian thru a burial ground.

That one is too much legit to quit. I have relatives that had no reason to lie, saw a haint pull into the yard. Where Black River Plantation currently sits. 5 old people rocking on the front porch, saw it clear as day and stories added up. Old road bed from that tract to Charleston ran through edge of property. Can't say I believe it but duly noted.

Yeah good idea but that pic is legit. We walked in front of it fast slow etc trying to recreate that pic and it always showed facial details etc. size and height were human just no features on the "ghost" one

I grew up beside a cemetery, got married and moved next door to a funeral home. Pretty much been surrounded by dead people my whole life. Haints is haints and they gonna haint, simple as that.

Benevolent souls are nothing to worry about- damned souls will scare the bejesus out of you.

A certain mill house in Boykin is proof of that.

All seriousness one night coon hunting at the plantation the dogs went up under the porch near the basement and their tales went between their legs and were freaking out. Kind of strange. House built circa 1823 and was spared by *******'s troops.
