Default Tubbs Final Finish bullets - Barrel break in

Has anyone used these to break in a barrel? I've heard great things and it seems as though it would accomplish what 100-200 rds of factory ammo and cleaning would do in less time and cost.

I've heard of them, but have never used them. Would like to hear some first hand feedback.

Had a friend that used them, mildly impressed, improved the group by about .300.

IMO, it may work well for standard run of the mill (low end) factory barrels. The higher end barrels should be fine with todays technologies in machining. If it's a custom barrel it should have already been hand lapped. Just my $.02; I wouldn't put anything out of the norm down my barrel, plus it's fun to burn ammo.

It was a factory Rem bbl. I agree with TD, after market high end bbls are hand lapped with a lead slug as opposed to shooting abrasive bullets.
