    Default Sea Turtles

Looking at the sand on Palmetto Blvd for the second straight year at Edisto got me thinking, any chance the sea turtle nests survive a surge like that? I wouldn't think so but Mother Nature can do some amazing things.

Most of them have hatched and... what sportin said. Total waste- go fishing some time in 90 feet and in.. no shortage. Had green turtle soup on San Sal once, and it sounded like a weeping child when they butchered it. But I got over it quick after the first bite

State Park pulled all predator screens and stakes out on Friday. Had less than 20 left to hatch out of 141. All sand pumped last year is gone along with the unhatched nests I'm sure.

Turtles always have that stupid ho hum looking face. And I have to remember to turn lights off so yankees can go play in the sand.

How many of those little suckers headed for the sea would it take to make a stew for 4 people? I'm thinking about putting a bright light on the hill next year and collecting the dumb ones for a stew. If they are so stupid they'll fall for fake light they ain't smart enough to survive anyway. Those need culling from the gene pool. So I'd be helping the population.

If you are ever driving down a beach in your personal vehicle, and you come across a sea turtle or a kid, do everything in your power to steer away from the sea turtle and into the kid. Yankee ladies will thank you.

I don't know how they could be good in a cake. They don't get firm when cooked.
