    Default Ow

Dammit. Maybe I am getting old. Just ran 2 boxes of these through the M1, trimming limbs around the house and I feel like I just got my ass kicked. Canada in 30 days. Time to tighten up and pull a trigger for fucks sake...

I am of the age where I was legally able to whack a fair sum of Ducks with lead - 4s, 5s, 6s , didn't much matter .. They all died well. I love Federal ammo , but the Remington Nitro Mags in 2 3/4" 1.5 oz lead shot always did the job too. We called those "Green sticks of Dynamite" It wasn't a duck trip unless we each had a flat of them in the gear box.

Our go to load on Summer Ducks for my formative years was the old Winchester Super Pigeon load - 1.25 oz of chilled lead 7.5s.. 3 3/4 drams of Powder. When I got into loading my own, we bought AA hulls by the bag full and used a similar recipe to load.

I hear that Fiocchi Golden Pheasant 2 3/4" ,1 3/8oz nickel plated #5 shells work well.....

I can live with that since I highly dislike most people I encounter on a daily basis. Flounder Night at the Country Club though!
