Duck cutter I had a husky 65 bow saw I bought the year before Hugo. Someone borrowed it about 15 years later and put straight gas in it and blew it up. It paid for itself many times over so I didn't fix it. Moral of the story is never loan a friend your chainsaw or girlfriend because they will throw a rod in both of them.

For the record I agree with Charlie horse

It'll never happen, not the saw part, the other.

Both of my fathers Stihl saws went missing after he passed a few years back. Still upset but I have an idea who took them. Regardless, I digress. I have a Poulan Pro saw now. I didn't purchase it. It was actually a gift from my Firm for a large deal we closed. Thus I t was free and since I'm stuck in a living in city/suburban hell for now I kept it. I've used it twice in my neighborhood surrounded by extremely yuppie people. They were impressed...I was not impressed with the saw but it worked. I would not recommend spending money on one. Hope this helps as I don't a profesional opinion like all these others. I just know my Father had two Stihls...

[QUOTE=Duck cutter;2379711]For the record, it wasn't a personal comment about/toward your grandad so please don't take it as such. You don't happen to have an old husqvarna 65 saw laying around do you? I've got one that was my uncles I'd like to make run again. Might need some parts for

No offense taken. It's SC Ducks, shit will be given and taken. And no the only old saws we have are some old Homelites and Poulans my great uncle is attached to. For the record I still think the echo is a piece

Mother-in-law gave me a stihl farm boss for Christmas in 99 & that thing runs like a champ still. Had a coil go out a few years ago & that was it. Used it nonstop when my grandmother got hit by a tornado a few years back. Fires up 2nd pull still.

If you don't know how/when to sharpen a chain, any one of them will quickly become "A piece of shit" and will forever more be known as such.

This is the truest statement in all 6 pages of this thread. Goodness the pissing contest over a chainsaw.

Keep this in your pocket, in the truck or wherever is close by while you are running the saw.
