    Default Chain Saw?

School me. I need to pick one up.
May as well go big, 20"?
I don't care what you have been using for 20 years, I want to know about what available now.

I have 7-10 Stihl quick saws and have no complaints. Stick with Stihl? I did have a terrible Stihl that was fuel injected. Not going the route again.

You did just let your own Father buy a Generac so I am a bit leery of your judgement. Can't go too wrong with the Stihl though...

    Echo cs590
60cc and capable of pulling a 24" bar
Look at prices and warranties on all saws. I upgraded to the pro bar and chain and have $430 in this one with a 5 year warranty. I used to work in a small engine repair shop and saw all makes and models of saw come in and this is what I decided on.

So the 16" bar will work in the 20" saw?

Pretty much just get the shorter chain to go with the 16" bar.

    Stihl 391, it's a beast. If it won't cut it, you'll need C4 and a track hoe.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I just picked up the Stihl Farm boss from Ace and it's slick. You can also Buy the premix fuel and get an extra year of warranty.....just don't forget about it and leave it in your SUV for a day or two

    Stihl....

I had a Farm Boss that I used to clear a lot of Hugo debris. Then some jackass decided he liked it, too.

I will never talk shit about a Farm Boss. Great all around saw. I have several in my inventory.

However, in a Hurricane situation, it is not what you are looking for...
