What is up with these saw toof oaks? Planted about 250, and most are doing great...but it's like some will lose all there leaves and have new shoots come out from the base?

Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
some are dying top down, then root sprouting.
A Nation of Sheep Breeds a Government of Wolves!
I have some in 7 gallon containers doing the same thing.
Transplant shock , mebbe so. Not enough root to balance amount of leaves perhaps. Were they bare root whips or leafed out container plants? at plantin time.Don't really matter , pick one sucker and let it be a tree.Cut the rest. I had a few pecans do that maybe 10 out of a couple hunnert.
We gave you Corn, you gave us clap, bad trade.
Here is a shot from today.
These always do well if there is not a late frost. I have a set of three in the same soil. They are 9 years old and one always drops leaves early. They don't produce yet either. I have about 75 on a northern facing slope that don't do well most years.
This group of about 75 does great.
