Stripping the velvet means way more than just getting a buck in the book. It would misrepresent the whole nature of the deer dying.

I'd strip it but that's just me. One I'm not a "buck in velvet fan" and two it would give an exact/official score on the deer. Not for any books. Just so I'd know what he truly scores.
