Yes he has. I thought it was crazy talk at first, but following his advice improved my hunting and scouting.

I voted midday because that's the mean. While I only have three really good ones on the wall, the close calls that I somehow screwed up have come at various times from right at first light with barely enough light to see through the same conditions at last light. I can only say this for Ohio, because that is where I first had enough confidence to start sitting all day...that was never even a thought in SC, AL, or MS. Maybe it would be the same, though. If it is anywhere near the rut in Ohio or IN, I sit all day, and I've had a lot of close calls at big bucks throughout the day. The bruisers I've killed, missed, or wounded have been first light, multiple between 8:30-9:30, 1050, straight up noon, 2ish, and multiple between 5-dark. The majority of those came Nov.5-8 with a beast missed on Halloween at 30 min before last light and a beast getting really lucky at 25 yards at 8am on Nov. 16. So...sit yo azz in the stand from sunup to sundown and enjoy not having to be somewhere else!

One thing that is for sure, of the past 20 mature deer I’ve kept record on, only 3 of them came when the pressure was below 30.00 but above 29.90.
    30.15 seems to be perfect.
You better go get in a stand, then.

Always thought about trying to watch the pressure when watching deer. Is there an app you use that will give you the barometric pressure in real time based on your GPS location and/or hourly predictions for pressures? Maybe TWC app does it, but I've not noticed it.

Between Oct. 20th and Nov. 5th (depending on the year / lunar cycle) between 10:00 and 11:00 in the morning. If they don't have a doe cornered they're checking signposts. If you're already on that string they will be checking and moving fast. Makes bowhunting a pure delight. Rest of the season is just meat killing.

The first 10 days of October are when the magic happens. That is when our bucks are on their feet hunting for does and looking to fight. The time of day does not seem to mater much. I agree with buckpro The pressure has a lot to do with big bucks walking any other time of the year. I have found that if it gets to 31 or more or under 30 the bucks lay down.

Yep, the week after that is my favorites though. There is no better hunt than about getting run over by a buck coming to the horns. Wish I could take that week off. Hit it perfect on a weekend a few years ago,, rattled in 12 bucks within 100 yards in 2 days

It was 30.05 where I was at today. They were walking good tonight, there were several big bucks killed this evening and I saw two mature bucks and 6 young bucks.
