    Default Joel Osteen shit storm

opinions on a church that locks the doors in the middle of a terrible natural disaster instead of offering shelter and food ?

I can't even imagine doing what they have done.

Kind of reminds me of Phil Robertson, and the ministry that he used to travel and speak of God and ducks at men's wild game dinners. A lot of men dedicated their live's to Christ thanks to Phil Robertson. At a time when his popularity skyrocketed, and he could have reached so many more people, he quit doing those dinners. Probably wasn't enough money now for him. Joel Osteen, reminds me of that. If the money isn't there, it isn't happening. It'll come back to him one day, sooner than later.

Osteen is no man of God. He is a Charlatan who sees "the Lord" as his pathway to wealth.

    1) You can't run a light show and smoke machines with no power.
    2) An acoustic praise band is just the devil at work.
    3) You can't electronic tithe when the internets is down.

I don't blame him one bit. He did people a favor, they just haven't realized it yet.

Maybe the church is in a flood zone.

Seriously, I'm no fan of the man but if you'd just dig a little deeper than the CNN headline, you'd see pictures of the church under water. Not exactly a safe place to go.

So glad we have the twitters so we can instantly get all the facts and don't have to jump to conclusions that liberals want us to make.

Did you seriously just compare Osteen to Phil Robertson?

I'm not a fan of Joel and don't know the details of the story, but from 5 minutes on Google it looks like the whole thing started because they tweeted that the church was inaccessible due to the flooding. Someone took a picture of the outside of the church and said it was fine. Now it's a national story where Christians and non-Christians alike are pouncing on the man and the church. Somehow I doubt the hundreds of churches that have their doors open and are helping out in a huge way will get any coverage on the national level. If the church's heart isn't in the right place, hopefully this will be a wake up call to the church that they need to be out and about helping others. Even if their building is inaccessible.

But it looks like some of yall are quick to jump on other Christians because they didn't do what you think they should be doing. Or don't worship like you do. God doesn't typically tell you what others should be doing. When he puts something on your heart he is speaking to what you should be doing.

I'm guessing this isn't the baptismal font.
