There you go being all sassy again. Meanie.

Serious question: Was the fix above not covered under warranty? Also, is the oil consumption in the problem trucks enough to notice at oil change or is that buildup seen with "reasonable" oil consumption?

You need to come have a beer at my place and motivate me to get dad's truck project off the ground. I've gotta show FEETS what's up.

Not under warranty, the ones that I've had were higher mileage earlier models. Not enough to notice between oil changes or so I've been told.

I'd love to come out to your place and take a gander around...

    Werd.

Come on. It's a disaster area at the moment.

I'll holler at you as soon as I get started on that truck.

Would you add a catch can to a diesel if you planned on keeping it? More important while emissions is still fully running?

I've installed a catch can and drilled a small hole in the lowest point of the intercooler to drain water from there as well.

The most badass exotic one that cummins had to damn near give away to Nissan.

On a good note, apparently the cp4.2 is accompanied by 2 fuel filters and what they are designating a lift pump. That also Kory Willis is working on them now also.

Why no catch can on diesel?
