    Lol, not hardly

I would have loved to have had a rifle or shotgun with me though.

Yep. I got in a little herd of them back during turkey season. It was like shooting little chihuahua puppies.

As of now around Georgetown they are on one piece of private property but they are trying real hard to get land owners permission for more. Fella running the project spoke at a meeting I was at in Beaufort a couple weeks ago. They're making a dent in the delta and on hobcaw that's for sure.

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

They flew and shot a good bit in the Bear Island area when they were first ramping up....

I completely missed this the first time. I'm disappointed in myself.

Also, they have been doing this for years here already.

i read this in the paper. While I'm sure the .gov is paying for it somehow...and it sure sounds like fun for the people making money off of it and getting to shoot shit out of a helicopter....BUT controlling hog populations by killing 1000 in three years? What a waste. We can do more work on the ground. But, hey, who am I to get in the way of wasteful spending and fun??

Man, I can't remember back to the last time killing hogs registered as fun. Perhaps when Miss V was wearing a trap slam full of pigs out with her pistol. Millington inside the trap like it was his job. Murdoch and I were on the ground behind the tractor just trying to survive it...

    2th said it correctly.

1000 pigs in 3 years with all those resources is straight up embarrassing. Imagine what the cost per pig is considering the chopper cost 1500$ per hour.
