    Default Drinking while dove hunting

I see a lot of comments about coolers in the dove field and I've been on a few dove shoots that were nothing more than an excuse for some to drink while sitting on a cooler. What say you? Do you drink on the field?

Those of you that host big shoots and talk about safety to the group. Do you allow drinking on your fields?

I drink a few while I shoot, but I don't go on big shoots or hunt with people I don't know.

I go on a few "corporate" hunts per year and I'll have a couple, but I sit near folks I know and the less experienced guys don't drink and don't know a few folks are drinking.

I don't drink and handle guns at the same time.

Any way to keep the poll anonymous except for the people who select they don't drink?

I want to know the people to stay away from

Not worth taking the chance. If there is an accident, regardless if alcohol was the cause, alcohol will be the cause whether you've had one beer or beers to the M2 power.

I wish you folks could have witnessed the annual Moonshine Hunt in Polk County, NC. After attending just once, I am so glad to be alive for several reasons it is amazing...

Glenn said it right. If there is an accident, if you had one beer or five, it will be alcohols fault. Not worth it in my opinion when I could just enjoy a few after I get out of the field.

In a private field if the hunters are drinking you can leave. I do not need the goverment to protect me on private land. They can protect and manage the game that freely cross property lines.

I do but it's technically illegal handle firearms while consuming alcohol.

Dooo-hoood! Way to spoil my fun. I've had that regulation locked and loaded and was waiting on the right target.

So you who drink while hunting, thinks it's OK to drink and drive or boat and drink. It's the same thing. All items will kill a innocent bystander. I reckon you got to be in the cool club.
