I have been reading a book about this. The captain was railroaded and the crew paid the ultimate price.

18,000 feet down. That's pretty wild to find something at that kind of depth!!

Neptune's Inferno is another good read. It's about the battle of Guadalcanal.

I know that far down makes the search harder but you'd a thunk the survivors might have had a clue on where they were when she went down. Anywho, glad they found it. Hopefully it provides some closure, for what it worth, to the loved ones of those who perished in the tragedy.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Name of the book , please. My Mother's middle Brother was a submariner from 1945 -1977 . He retired as a COB, grizzled old man that wore tailored uniforms from China. Hard drinking, cussing, he loved conflict and the Captains he served under. Sleeve was covered with hash marks.

And only those near the bridge and charts would have that knowledge.

I found this video of my grandfathers first cousin... one of the 300 or so that survived. The main subject of "In Harm's Way" was his raft mate. Died Feb 2016.
