People have a lot of faith in a $2 piece of cardboard. I've been smart enough not to stare at the sun for 34 years, I think I will make it out ok on Monday.

A friend of mine was at a party with an optometrist last night and he told him not to look at it even with the glasses on. He said it would burn your eyes and you would not even feel it. I don't know if I trust my vision to a free pair of cardboard glasses. I may just watch other people burn their eyeballs out.

#3 & #5 are probably the best safe methods, especially for kids.

Eclipse shitbirds are out. Got a call from one of our residents that there were a couple sketchy looking cats fishing in our river. Seemed like a good stress reliever, so I loaded the Ranger with a weapon or two for a sortie. Thought about loading Millington, but his breath could be classified as a chemical weapon by the Geneva Convention, so I decided to leave him at the house. Sure enough, a couple of Yankees had decided that pitching a tent within 10 paces of 3 NO TRESPASSING signs was a great idea. We are not allowed to shoot these people. Stupid laws...

There is a camper setup in the Walmart parking lot. Not just parked overnight. They have setup camp next to the median with a little grass on it. They've got a generator going, the awning out, and even have clothes hanging on a clothes line.

Ashley River bridge in Charleston appears to be stuck open. Couldn't have happened to a nicer eclipse weekend.

I'm sure they'll show the booger on YouTube or something. I'm not nerdy so I won't be staring at the sun.

Put them on your face... Look at the sun for a few hours... If you go blind, do not give them to your kids...

    Or another way:

Gtown county was selling/giving glasses away. This morning they issued a statement that the company who provided them said not to use them, they were defective. I'm going into the cane business tomorrow.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Surprising that most of these manufacturers of fake\inadequate glasses would open themselves up to that type of liability.

    Ain't nobody gonna see shit.

Clouding up in Columbia pretty good now.

Go to windytv.com and click on cloud coverage, scroll across the bottom. I believe we'll be fully eclipsed with clouds.
