    Default Cool find from the past

    At least I think so. About 20 years ago when I was in high school a new load of dirt was brought in for our infield. Coach had out walk through and pick out all of the rocks and found this one while I was cruising the infield. Mom and dad came up to visit today and brought me a bag of ones I found back then.

    When I had my kidney stone , I think it was that big. But a lot sharper.

    You obviously don't know how big B's hands are. That stone in his hand is at least 12" long

    Hit it with a bristle brush and clean it up a little. Looks like coastal plains chert. Preform or knife/blade.

    I took a semester of geology at CofC. I can say with 90% confidence that what you are holding in your hand is likely the remains of a mineralized maxi pad.
