    Default Transmission recycle?

Replacing transmission in wife's 2006 Tahoe. If I take the old one from the shop, what is best way to recoup some cash? I'm in Columbia.

    Yeah. I'm with santeeswamper.

It ain't enough money to worry about.

Tell the shop when it's all said and done that you wanna see the core money on your invoice. That's the best you're gonna do.

The core at a dealership is stupid money, core at salvage yard is 2/300 dollars. In real life it's worth nothing

so you are replacing instead of rebuilding- how much is a replacement transmission installed? I have had a number rebuilt but never had a replacement.

2400.00 for replacement with 3 year unlimited mile warranty assuming cooler can be flushed if applicable.

1800.00 for full rebuild with 12/12 warranty.

But, how much for a whopper chopper rebuild to put behind a stage 2 Powerstroke?
