    Default Alarm/Home Security Company

Looking for reviews from current homeowners with a security system. Who do you use, what benefits do you have and what is your monthly fee?

    My wish list:
    1. 24/7 Monitoring
    2. Multiple window/door mounts
    3. User-friendly app
    4. Remote monitoring from app
    5. Security Camera(s)
    6. Security Doorbell

You pretty much described all the major companies out there. They all offer what you listed. The catch will be what special they are running for free equipment, etc. So you can add cameras and such. The monthly monitoring will be within 5 bucks for each company. A good friend sells for CPI so I am familiar with what they offer. I can shoot you his contact info if you would like it.

Any reason why using SS might be a mistake?

Like richardp17, I'm looking at re-working both my alarm and fire systems, so don't want to go one direction on fire and find out I'd have to re-do some of it to go with a different alarm company.

    Thanks.

I use CPI. Not really certain what I am paying but I do know they were willing to price match/negotiate when I was signing up. I have been satisfied with everything thus far.

    Edited to add: 39.99/mo

Not to my knowledge. I know several people that use SS and I haven't heard them complain about it. Like Biggie said, they all offer about the same, it's just who has the best special going.

Ended up speaking with two separate CPI folks today thanks to Biggie. Will probably go with them. It looks like $39.99-54.99 is the range to expect for the services. Ask Biggie for the hookup.

I have SimplySafe on my Equipment Barn. $14.99/month and no complaints with them. I had 2 false alarms from a faulty motion sensor and Lexington County was there in less than 10 mins each time. Sensor was replaced free of charge and no issues since.
