I use PowerPro Super Slick on about 10 bottom set ups from 30# to 100#. Not one issue to date and I bottom fish a lot, pretty much all I do for fishing. The key is knowing how to tie knots that don't cut themselves or cause weak points at the main connection. I use a 40 turn Bimini to make a double line to attach a swivel/coast lock via an improved palomar or similar. For main line to leader a crazy Alberto if tied on the boat or a Page Ranking if I'm prepping at home. Line is all pretty much the same with a few exceptions, the knots are where the screw ups are.
I've use Spider, have one still set with it, it's good but stiff. Jerry Brown is great, expensive though. Momoi has been the worst I've used, real soft and cuts easily. The Suffix and PP Super Slick make the best and most compact knots.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
You might take out a dozen before they drag you from your home and skull fuck you to death. Marsh Chicken 6/21/2013
