Dr Duck you need to shut your whoreish mouth. Edisto and the Grand Strand are night and day brother. It will never be what that is. Too much of the island and surrounding area is protected and in easements for that to happen. You seriously have never been there?

There was a house for sale a few doors down from ol' girl's family's place last summer. Some yankees bought it up before ever having stayed on Edisto for more than a weekend at the Wyndham. Before the summer was up, the house was back on the market because "there's not enough to do at Edisto." Shame more don't share this view.

I'll be down on the 1st. Fish should be biting and clear liquor flowing.

I bought a lot there a year or two ago on a tidal creek. Plan was to build in the next couple of years. Decided to put it on the market for the time being, almost 100% markup on what I bought it for, just for shits and giggles.

About a month after closing I had a contract to sell it for close to asking price, couldn't turn it down. Yankees from NY bought it, they had been to Edisto once before. Hurricane hit right after that, toppled over some trees on the lot.

It ain't changed terribly much since I was a kid. No putt putt, the sound isn't open the way it used to be, more and nicer houses. My father is older than the Dr, and he's been going down since a kid riding down from Camden in a dune buggy. Golf carts, that's new, I don't like golf carts.. plus the police don't play, I like the general seven rule.
