Lenco
Lenco.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
You might take out a dozen before they drag you from your home and skull fuck you to death. Marsh Chicken 6/21/2013
Lenco
Bah! Humbug!
Well i guess that settles it

I've always had lencos and never had any issues
Bay boat or deep v?
I've had both and cuss both of them for separate reasons. Smaller bay boat go with electric, either Lenco or Bennett. I've had motors and actuators go out on Lencos before...everything but the switch is outside the boat.
Larger boats I prefer the hydraulic. Super reliable and easy/cheap to work on.
Deep V

You do know that you can trim the motor DOWN and tell your guest to move side to side to level out. Come on Man it is a 21' boat not a Jarrett BAY. Just kiddin but not really. BENNETT

"Wow, often imitated but never duplicated. No one can do it like the master. My hat is off to you DRDUCK!"
Just put Lectrotabs on following a recommendation from Goin Coastal and doing some follow up research. Better design on the actuators than Lenco and no hydraulic pump to mess with like you have with Bennett. Lifetime warranty on the actuators. I went with 12x12 tabs which depending on who you talk to is more tab than you need on a 22' but I've been very pleased with the improvements in handling. Pretty much the same application as what you describe. Balance the load and take better advantage of the sharper deadrise forward on a variable deadrise hull.
I think I'm going to go with the 12 x 4. I've got the swim ladder to contend with and that seems to be what comes standard with my boat

Make sure you install an auto retract solenoid...returns to full up anytime you turn the key off.
