McGregor isn't even rated as one of the better boxers in MMA. He's a good boxer , but facing one of the best boxers -EVER , will not end well. Mayweather is a superb fighter.

Nate Diaz is a better boxer than McGregor and he posed all kinds of problems for McGregor when they fought - both times. The difference in glove weight and length of the bout alone will tax McGregor. He won't be able to land a hard enough punch to KO Mayweather.. 4 oz glove versus a 10-12 oz glove?? that means a lot. Mayweather will show up in shape and with a strategy that doesn't include standing still and letting McGregor land punches.
Mayweather has had to fight the best boxers in the world. McGregor is a great fighter but I think he may be a little out of his league here. Don't get me wrong I would love to see him KO Mayweather but I thought Pacquiao had the best chance and he lost. If it goes the distance Mayweather will win a decision.

Don't be shocked if Mayweather knocks McGregor out. McGregor will get tired and Mayweather will be elusive until he sees his opening. He will land combinations the likes of which McGregor won't be able to defend..

Boxing isn't called " The Sweet Science" for nothing. McGregor is a brawler. Both times he faced Diaz, he was easily frustrated by Diaz Boxing skill. In Diaz.McGregor 1, Diaz pummeled Colin until he set up his takedown and easily submitted him in the second round.

In their second match, both fighters were knocked down and bloodied from boxing.. I still think Diaz was the better fighter and if it weren't for Dana White's dislike of the Diaz brothers, the decision would have done to Diaz.. he is a tough SOB and I doubt McGregor wants to fight him again. If Diaz and McGregor met in a straight up boxing match, Diaz would kill him. I love the comment Diaz made about the second fight - " Colin was making these sounds every time I hit him in the third round " ugh , ugh, ugh" " he quit in the third" " when you are in the ring, you know when your opponent is being a Bitch"

Don't forget the stats - Mayweather has 26 KOs - as a Pro Boxer. We will find out in August.

I'd agree that the advantage goes to who's format they use. But coming out of retirement with a fight in 2.5 months seems quick for someone that is 40. Granted he is in much better shape than me.

Mark me in the "dog and pony" category. I see nothing here that closely warrants my $100. I will look at ESPN the next day to see how bad Mayweather beats him, but I could really care less. I am intrigued by the contract side though.

I do agree about the glove weight. He's not used to that and will be tired after round 5. Which is why he better get it done before then.

Ohhhhh.... how I love a good fight with ALOT of shit talking.... wooooweeee
McGregor is not used to taking jabs and body shots for 10 rounds. He only has a punchers chance in my opinion.

McGregor was collecting unemployment checks four years ago, thought his life changed when he cashed a $50K "knockout bonus" check from UFC three years ago, and is starring down a $100,000,000 check to get in the ring with Mayweather in a couple of months. In all honesty they could knock each other out simultaneously and I would be happy

Money grab by both. I don't blame them though. If this is a reg. rules boxing match and even close, the fix was in.

I like how they cut McGregors mic off. While Floyd was holding his pep rally.

The 30th ranked boxer in his weight class, which nobody can name or recognize other than family or folks in the boxing industry, beat the breaks off of McGregor in a sparring match..

I'd like to see both of them fight the red headed Mexican...

Now he would destroy either one of them in a pretty fair fashion, as in dog fashion..

I'm just hoping McGregor loses his cool and takes off Mayweather's head with a kick.
