Just got back. Water was super hot, fished all over and saw 81 to 86. Saw run off, congrats to Marty and gang. Bull and dj where on fire. Ocean was slick mon and Tuesday. We had a nice dock group over at Beaufort, angler, griphon, hammer time,miss wy, desperado,Viking 62 and free spool. Can't wait till next year.

Big rock. I even hate the name of the tournament.

I fished that tournament for 15 years straight and it was NEVER a red hot bite. You couldn't pick a more mediocre piece of ocean for a billfish tournament.

Agree. I fished it 8-10 times back in my younger(read not married, no kids kind of days) and other than the money that is available/social aspect the fishing was always less than stellar.

If you do the simple math, 170 boats fishing 4 out of 6, equals 680 fish days. 160 releases is less than 25%...pitiful when you think about it in perspective.
