Default Bass tournament to benefit Shane Weeks.

Mods if this isn't allowed feel free to remove. My buddy sent this to me kind of last minute, but looks like they are having a bass tournament this weekend to benefit Shane. I don't know any details but feel free to contact them with any questions. Thanks

Last update I got was last night, and he was doing ok after the surgery and resting. They were planning on being in Houston for a week. If I get another update I'll post it.

Second this. I know I have some stuff laying around that could pull a few bucks.

    Morning update...

Thank you all for the prayers yesterday for Shane's surgery and the continued prayers for healing and recovery. Our one night stay in the hospital went well. Shane actually had the same male night nurse from last year that we liked so much and also some other familiar faces of nurses and staff members. They were all surprised to see him again but took very good care of him. They all even remembered which room Shane stayed in last year We asked if Shane was a "horrible" patient and that's why they remembered him and of course they said "no" and they remembered him because he was discharged one day and admitted the same night and his pain was hard to get under control. We promised them this was not going to happen this time.

Everyone took very good care of Shane and helped to get his pain under control and stable enough for him to be discharged from the hospital today at 11am. We settled into our apartment around lunchtime and Shane is doing well. He is still having some pain but is resting comfortably in our "home away from home" apartment. Our "family away from our family" cooked a delicious dinner for us tonight. We all sat around the table and enjoyed dinner while we were entertained by Houston rolling over and laughing on a pallet we made for him on the floor. Houston has been such a good distraction for us but we are ready to get home and spend some quality family time with Fischer. We are so thankful for our "new family" and don't know what we would do without them. The Cook family are amazing people and we are blessed that God put them in our lives.

Shane has a follow up appointment scheduled for Friday and we may actually get to come home sooner than originally planned. Please pray for comfort and healing and a good follow up appointment for Shane on Friday.

    With much love,

    Kim and Shane
