We have been battling allergies the last couples months with my 8 yr old lab. It starting with the licking and chewing at paws, progressed into the skin scabs and finally the ear trouble. The licking went on for a while, I just assumed it was boredom with me working more. Couple months ago the skin scabs and ear infections got worse. The vet gave me Motazol to handle his ears as a maintenance when needed item. Also we put him on Apoquel hoping to slow down the allergies, this was all in hope of getting pass spring time. In our discussion with the vet, if these didn't fit the bill after spring we would move to narrowing down the allergies without paying for the test.
This leads me on to the changing his dog food. Since he turned 1, he has been on Eukanuba Premium 30/20. Of course the first couple ingredients are chicken and corn coming in third. After some research the last couple days, I'm thinking the goal is to change the main meat and also corn-free / grain-free completely food.
Ive searched and found y'all like, or at least mentioned the most.

The lab is stays between 100 & 105 lbs with a big build not a fat dog. We go on vacation this weekend and when I returned, ill start the transition to one of these. Hoping for some input from y'all based on what I've said.
Thanks TJ
