FLW stop #6 on Mississippi River

Son fished stop #6 on the Mississippi River, pools 7, 8 and 9 out of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Weights were very tight, after day 1 he was in 78th with 12 lbs 7 oz. Had a better day #2 with 13 lbs 3 oz and wound up 43rd picking up $10k. Interesting thing was he traveled up Thursday and Friday, 17+ hour drive. When he got there Friday had a little trouble with some stairs and broke his ankle, so had to fish on crutches with a seat in the boat Thursday and Friday. Proud of him in general but even more proud he recognizes how important the points are and toughed it out. Not sure many people would have. Sitting in 19th for the Forest Wood Cup with one event left.

Hopefully he will be, he's in 19th in points with one event remaining and they take the top 35. He really wants to make it this year since it's on Murray.

Yea Murray is an awesome lake that time of year. The herring spawn should be on. I will be there watching and spending money. Wish him the best of luck.
