Why isn't Santee managed better?

I'm young and I don't know much about the subject but why aren't Pieces of upper lake Marion and sparkleberry swamp managed for waterfowl? We couold have a hell of a lot better hunting if they did....

I an folks like me whom are in the minority in here but the majority in the real world love the way the lake is being run an want to see more private ponds an endevours.

There could be a blending of ideas if the grass could be kept behind the 95 bridge a comprimise if you will.

The private impoundments are hated by the likes of Willy worm.

I absolutely love them.

They offer up micro niches to test an prove theories as well as contain those theories an allow for money to be made by those willing to put the hard work an effort into creating wildlife paradises.

That is the story that is told to the public, but is not true. In 2009, less than 2% of the electricity produced by Santee Cooper was from hydroelectricity. That lake was part of the WPA which was part of The New Deal.

In 2009 Santee Cooper had a total 6,104 MW of electric generating capacity and purchased power and had peak demand of 5590MW. Of the electricity it generated in 2009, Santee Cooper produced 80.856% from coal, 8.42% from natural gas, 8.84% from nuclear, .08% from oil, 1.74% from hydroelectricity, and 0.35% from landfill methane. All of Santee Cooper's power plants are in South Carolina.[6] In 2009 Santee Cooper sold 25.8 gigawatt hours of electricity and earned $1.7 billion in revenue.[2]

Bog's definitely leading the charge on the constituent side and DT appears to be leading it from the legislative side. And I applaud both for their efforts and regret not doing more to support them. I need to step up on that.

Hate is such a strong word. I told you this before. I don't hate them, I just don't think they'll be the single thing that saves duck hunting in South Carolina, contrary to your mindset. I also believe the duck ponds are what is responsible for the spread of the dark religion that has become tamie releasing.
