To make the decision harder, here is the one I have. Rechargeable battery pack or you can put 3 AAA batteries in it. I charge it periodically, but I haven't had it dim any after several hours of use per day over the course of a weekend without recharging.

I keep both the clip on and strap on. Most of the time I end up putting decoys on wearing a hat and hunt with a mask.

A switch works better than a button. You will find the button type get accidentally turned on and you will not have battery power when you need it.

The heat sensor kind that require you to take your gloves off to operate are a real pain.

i second the Bushnell light Cdub. It has been a good light for anything you could possibly want it for in a hunting scenario.

I’ve been extremely impressed with the innogear 5000 lumen headlamp. It like the sun came up when you turn it on, only problem is it doesn’t dim.
I bought the rechargeable batteries and charger, I have two that have made it through 2 duck seasons in saltwater ponds.

Don't get the Princeton Fuel. It has a known defect where the battery door will break. Google if you must, but it's true. Had two that the door latch broke on.

Try the Black Diamond Spot. It will run you about $30 or so on sale. https://www.rei.com/product/890322/b...-headlamp-2016

Dhall had one that was bright as blue blazes and used some kind of rechargeable battery. We were getting some duck hunting stuff together one night and he was holding the headlamp in his hand and the batteries straight blew up and caught on fire while he was holding it.

Made me mind of shy away from ones with rechargeable batteries

I got this one with the extra battery. Have not had to switch to the extra yet. Dimmable and lasts a while. It is very bright on the highest setting.

This has a pocket clip that I clip to my hat brim. Its not cheap, but it is worth it. Multi-mode and multi function. rechargeable via USB, and 900 lumens in the "Turbo" mode. Anyone looking for an all purpose pocket and headlamp this is the perfect one.

two fucking pages of stupid opinions of a silly light you put atop your head to blind all the people you hunt with. when, in all honesty, you can see better without that damn thing on.

plus, I would lose every damn one of the ones y'all mentioned.

have a nice day, you silly white people. I hate you all.
