    Default Prothonotary Warbler

One of my favorite birds - I think that's a "funnel web" grass spider.

I saw one very similar to that catching mayflies today. Didn't get a very clear look at it but it almost appeared to have a head like a titmouse. What did I see?

Very well could have been. The head wasn't yellow like the breast so that's got to be it unless there's something else like it.

when I was in college banding those in summer camp we got them out of mist nets and they would slap wear your finger out with that beak.

One of my favorite little birds. I floated up under a willow tree in the kayak with 8 or 10 of them one morning in the bar pit. They didn't pay me the least bit of attention. One of those times that I wish I was a good photographer with a good camera.

When I used to fish the top of Lake Murray a bit, I would see those birds quite often. Occasionally at the hunting club now.
