    its a tiny seed. if your seedbed is good, I'm not even sure you would need to come back over it...especially right before a rain.

    Either spread ahead of a rain, or a light drag. I wouldn't disc it in, you'll wind up planting the seed too deep.

    Do deer eat growing benne? How does it fare in areas where there is significant deer depredation of sunflower, peanut, soybean, etc. foliage?

    I have no issues with the sesame, but they will eat the sunflowers adjacent to it to the stalk.
