    Default Holbrook

Well fellas, up until today you could have argued that Holbrook still held the keys to his future at SC. A win today might have kept his job but left him sitting on the hot seat. That didn't happen. I like him as a person, but I think his fate has been set now. Another heartbreaking loss in the end. The only thing that can save him now is a miracle run through the rest of the season and making it to Omaha.

The real question to me now is who are we going to get to replace him? Monte isn't leaving the hills, lets be honest here. Who is out there that would fit in Columbia?

I have never been impressed with him as a Head Coach. He was great at his job when Ray was still the Skipper.

Yep I agree. He wasn't ready for the big job and may never be. Time to cut him loose.

I've heard that said a bunch but I really believe Michael Roth deserves all that credit.

Coach Corbin is a great ball coach. I knew him when I was a kid, even then, he was all business, regimented and structured. Very similar to Jack Leggett except 10-15 years younger

Vanderbilt has been exploiting a loophole to get the quality players they do. They have a privately funded scholarship arrangement where they are able to offer full rides whereas just about everybody else can only offer something like 11 total to be split amongst the whole team.

Monte ain't going nowhere. And Tim Corbin is no joke - but he might cut you for saying he's just like Jackleg.

Monte's had a taste of the good life and now all he needs is some relief pitching. He's on lock down.

13 straight postseason appearances, half a dozen CWS appearances and 2 national titles. Yeah, that had to be all Michael Roth.

Never underestimate the power of the Tanner coaching tree. He pretty much places them.

I guess you're including Holbrook time at UNC as well. Guess what? They haven't exactly missed him and pretty much all the success we've had during Holbrook's time here was when Roth was still in school. The general consensus of everybody was that while Tanner was a great coach, we didn't win big until Holbrook brought a looser and fun component to the team. I have to disagree with that assessment.
