Red dots make it more fun. Kinda like cocaine and parties.

Oh yeah, I'm fully aware that I'm almost 50. I'm trying my best to hold it off. My 25yr old body hides my age well. LOL

Have you patterned the gun to see where the Point of Impact is? I missed a couple and then checked mine. It was shooting low and to the right. I bought a Burris ff3 after that.
For the record I still miss sometimes, but a lot less now that I know where the pattern shoots.....and I started body checking them inside 15yds....credit boozer for that advice.

Thanks to everyone (except dumbass) for the info. I patterned the gun and moved the sights (it has rifle style sights) when I bought the gun 8 or so years ago. It might be a good idea to recheck though.

Last year I bought a FF3 and used it all season and had no complaints but sold it. This year I put a vortex Venom on and I like it a lot more than the ff3. They are the same price. The venom has 10 different intensity settings. Also has a automatic setting where it adjust the light itself. I thought was great. It comes with a silicone cover that when on cuts the scope off, if it is in automatic mode. I lost my cover but vortex was happy to send me a new one for free. I called on a Monday on Thursday I had the cover.
I actually have a venom in the gunsafe waiting on my sbr paperwork to come back. What mount did you use?

Wow...you are definitely still the dumbass. I don't foresee much change in that. Even if you stop talking, folks will still know.

Sure. I thought it would add an extra level of challenge and figured "what the hell." And then I got on here to complain about how I was missing with a slug gun. You nailed it.
