    Default Washing machine leak

Washing machine has had a small leak twice (that I know of) while running a hot load. One small, one super plus. Opened it up and looks like it has happened more than that, but used to be positioned over a floor drain so was not noticed. Thought it could be inlet assembly, but does not seem to happen on cold loads.

    School me.

Rusty area feels a little soapy. Could be too much detergent?

Looks like the tub overflowed. Up around the valves look dry.

It's a whirlpool. That's the problem. All of our appliances are whirlpool. Had the microwave repaired under warranty 4 times before they finally replaced it.
