My crew bailed as well. I took advantage of the day off and turkey hunted yesterday morning and all was quiet for me too. Going to head down the ICW with the wife and kid to Beaufort and check out the Blue Angels this afternoon. Might float a minner along the way...

Talked to one of them awhile ago and think they said they had a 30lb dolphin... but had a good size wahoo and a tuna... From what I heard 60lbs won it.

The ocean was much nicer than the forecast said, and we comfortably ran in at 30+ knots.

Great fishing day to those that made it out. We barely missed taking home money. A 68# dolphin won it.

They were taking pictures at the weigh-in stage on Saturday. Does anyone know where those pictures are available?

Probably gonna be a while. Guys with the 52 pounder are protesting. Some rules said must weigh by 6. Other said scales open to 7.

I heard something about this. If that's truly the case then it sounds like Bohicket screwed up pretty good. I would be protesting too.

Edisto definitely screwed the pooch with this one. The guys with the 52 have a legit issue and just so happen to be attorneys.

What does the Marina at Edisto have to do with it? They didn't fish.

Why didn't you weigh the 20lb BFT? A 17lb BFT took home some decent cash for that category.

It doesn't exactly take a fine tuned legal mind to identify the potential problems with the weigh-in times. I think the 62lb dolphin was weighed in right at 6pm though. I know the 68lb dolphin was weighed in just shy of 7pm because I watched them take it off the boat.

So Edisto had scales open till 6:00 and Bohicket had scales open till 7:00. Edisto didn't have a tournament. Bohicket invited everyone over who registered in Edisto. (Did they require everyone to register in Bohicket?) So the 52lb dolphin guy has his panties in a wad because he didn't read the rules at Bohickets tournament and someone else brought in a larger fish. I still fail to see where Edisto screwed up.

After re-reading Bohickets form they did screw up. Says open till 7:00 then further down the registration form it says open till 6:00. Regardless I don't see how Edisto could be held liable for this.

Got nothing to do with Edisto - Bohicket screwed up.

Furthermore, the dude with the pirate ship is a tad out there.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

It's inferred if you own a pirate ship.
