    Default WNC smallies & spots

    Our annual pilgrimage to the deep lakes of Western North Carolina has finally begun now that winter has finally given up. It's always good to see old friends and to hear the turkeys gobbling all over the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As usual, we stayed right on the lake in a friend's boathouse which makes it so nice. We caught a ton of fish this trip, and can't wait to get back when the big fish get on the beds shortly...

    I fished Beaver Lake in Arkansas last week and its always fun to get a change in scenery.

    Where is the pic of fresh fried filets? There are usually a few of those to accompany the harvest pics.

    I like the picture you posted from this same trip several years ago with the fish mixed in with the drinks in the cooler. That's the real deal!

    Closing on a house in WNC tomorrow, a lake similar to that one is only 20 minutes away.
