    Man that is just flat out awesome! Congrats to both of you.

    I nearly had a similar story unfold on Friday. It didn't end quite as good as yours, but I can relate to the proud feeling. I left mine in the woods for the first time by himself only to return and listen from 100 yards away as he worked a bird that gobbled on top of him for 20 minutes. His calling sounded better than it ever has at the house. He didn't call too much - at least until the birds started walking off from him. Turned out the gobbler came by him at 35-40 yards and he didn't shoot because he was unsure of the distance. That probably made me the most proud, but I can't help but wish he had come up the road struggling with a gobbler slung over his shoulder and grinning like a mule eating briers the way yours did!

    That is fantastic! He won't forget that for the rest of his days!
