    Default Storms Predicted for 4/5/17

Guys, hope everyone is keeping an eye out on this weather, especially from about Greenwood/Edgefield south and especially in south central GA. Hopefully I will jinx it somehow by posting about it (it worked last fall with a hurricane...). I am a weather nerd and the tornado watch that was just issued for the areas I mentioned is what is known as a PDS tornado watch, which means 'particularly dangerous situation.' The are the kind of watches they issue when storms like what went through Tuscaloosa are likely and they usually only issue a couple of these a year, I cant ever remember one being issued that included SC. Just hope everyone pays extra attention to things this afternoon!

Tornado warning for Lexington County - Batesburg-Leesville area, looks to be headed towards Lexington. Pretty classically shaped supercell, radar indicated rotation right now.

Lexington Co still has Tornado Warning. Should be around Gilbert now, starting to get into more populated areas, if you live between Gilbert and Columbia, this storm is headed your way

Got pretty sporty over here in Gilbert. Heavy rain, hail, and strong winds. Winds were probably 60 to 70 MPH. No tornado thank goodness. Just seemed to be straight line winds. It's calmed down now, but I hear more thunder back to our west.

Yeah. Johnston is bad. About a mile from my house, there are trees on houses. Damn near all roads going into and out of Johnston are blocked.

I'm north of 95 and north of 20 by a few miles.

It's pouring, thunder and lightning as well, but not much wind.

Just had a warning here and everyone had to go in breakroom until over. Went West of Jedberg around Holly Hill.

1.8" rain and ephemeral street flooding in Florence. Dark clouds, some wind, but no widespread tree damage. Power still on in most, if not all, areas. Radar says more rain on the way.

Thanks man. I've got my little one running the freezer and fridge. If it's not back on in the morning I may get one from you so I can hook the well up.

As of 7 PM, the rain gauge is showing 4.5 inches of rain from today's storm. That's on top of the 2.3 we got Monday. Looks like I have some chainsaw and grading work to do this weekend.
