Default Threading a Rem 700 bolt

What is a good price to have a bolt threaded to accept a tactical style handle? I got a quote today that I thought was way to high. Gunsmith recommendations would be helpful too.

It's just a stock/standard remington bolt. I want to put a new handle on it.

Thanks. Those are what I expected for prices. Wish I lived closer.

Do it yourself. It's not that hard. Grind the factory knob off until you get close, then use a file to shape it to the right boss. Once you get it there, use a die to cut the threads. Get it where it threads on smoothly then a little JB Weld to make it permanent. Takes a little elbow work but it's not that hard.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I have some friends that are machinists. They are my next call. I was just starting with local gunsmiths. I don't think I am gonna attempt that myself.
